Recent Increase in NOUN Fee 2024

The recent increase in the National University fee in 2024 is worrisome and student expresses their displease and calls on the institution’s management to review the increment as it is difficult to sustain oneself in the economy of Nigeria of today.

The recent increase in the National University fee in 2024 has got students talking, and wandering why, and how this unaware increament are being implement without a convincingly visible improve it or upgrade in the system.

The increment in tuition fees at the National University as aspiring and returning students anticipate the beginning of an academic section was met with what was least expected.

Students complained about recent increase in the National University fee in 2024 and such an act by the management of the National Open University of Nigeria because the economy of Nigeria today has been very challenging, especially for the average Nigerian.

The country is faced with an increasingly high rate of poverty due to inflated and dwindling prices things most especially in the Oil and Gas Industry which cut across all activities in the country.

Not to mention the continuous loss in the value of naira in the international market.
In a time as daunting as this, It is least expected that the National Open University of Nigeria choose to increase its fee.

Students complained that fees do increase but the service doesn’t which is very unfortunate.

The recent increase in the National University fee in 2024 has made the hope of many students to continue studying in Nigeria is threatened as things are on the high side including education and this seems not to stop anytime soon.

 NOUN School Fee in 2024

The National Open University of Nigeria (Noun) increased the new student’s compulsory fee from #36,000 to #55,000 for courses and exam registration from #1,000 to #1500 and project fee #25000 and for postgraduates from #35,000 to #61,000 which is an increment of about 299.9% which can be seen as outrageous.

In the recent increase, returning students no longer pay #18,000 as compulsory fee increased to #20,500, For new students the fee is increased from #55,500 to #58,000.

 

The question on the lips of all  Nounites is “How long will these increments continue?”

Students are not happy with this recent increase in the National University fee in 2024 and they solicit that the management of Noun should review the increment and put an end to unexpected and sudden increments that may occur in the future.

With the increment of the tuition fee, it will be dis-hearting not to make the best grades you can in your exams, although majority of the students find studying difficult in Noun, because managing work with family and study is nit as easy as it seem.

the increment. Students are optimistic that their complaints will yield results this time, as such as fallen on deaf ears as we have seen in the past.
